Cakes, Cakes and More Cake......

I have just finished the busiest 6 days ever in my kitchen. I had 9 cake orders to complete, along with Oliver's Birthday and his cakes for playgroup and preschool. So a total of 12 cakes, wow was that a challenge but I am happy to say that I survived and all cakes were delivered on time!

No 1: Lady Bug Cake for Azalia's 1st Birthday, moist butter cake with white chocolate ganache and fondant covering.

No 2: Darth Vadar Cake for Allan's 40th Birthday, cherry ripe mudcake with dark chocolate ganache and fondant covering. This cake was carved from 2 x 8 inch round cakes with a styrofoam base.

No 3: 70th Birthday cake, red velvet cake with milk chocolate ganache and fondant covering.

No 4: Super Mario Bros Themed Cupcakes, deep dark chocolate cupcakes with vanilla buttercream and hand made fondant toppers.

No 5: 60th Birthday Exploding Present Cake, orange and poppyseed cake with buttercream filling and fondant covering, for a Cronulla Sharks Rugby League fan.

No 6: 30th Birthday "Snap On" Tool Box Cake, milk chocolate mudcake with milk chocolate ganache and fondant covering. The board was covered to look like timber floorboards and the tools were hand modelled from modelling paste.

No 7: Chocolate Overload Cake for Eamyn's 8th Birthday, a 6 inch version of the chocolate overload cake. Dark chocolate mudcake with dark chocolate ganache coating, kit kat border and malteser topping.

No 8: Pam's Birthday Cake, a simple 6 inch dark chocolate mudcake with dark chocolate ganache covering and fondant butterflies and flowers.

No 9: Robyn's Birthday Cake, a simple 6 inch dark chocolate mudcake with dark chocolate ganache covering and fondant butterflies.

No 10: Oliver's Formula 1 Racing Car Birthday Cake, to share with his playgroup friends. Super easy chocolate cake with milk chocolate ganache and fondant covering. The cake was carved from an 8 inch square cake.

No 11: Oliver's Plane Birthday Cake, to share with his preschool friends. Super easy chocolate cake with milk chocolate ganache and fondant covering. The cake was also carved from an 8 inch square cake.

No 12: Oliver's Party Birthday Cake.

Hopefully you have stayed with me and made it all the way to the here! I have an easy week this week, only one cake to make, but am busy with end of term Athletics Carnival and Easter festivities at Lachlan's school.

Enjoy the rest of the week and weekend.
