Royal Wedding Cupcakes!

Today is the day that Prince William and Catherine Middleton will wed. I am not a huge royal fan, but have enjoyed the lead up to their big day and will certainly be watching all of the coverage tonight. The two main things I am interested in is the dress and the cake.

On a side note, Prince William and I share the same birthday, I am a few years older though :)

Anyway, my mum is having a high tea celebration at her work this afternoon, so I made some cupcakes for her to take along. I came across some wonderful printable cupcake toppers on the TomKat Studio blog a few days ago and knew that they would be perfect.

The cupcakes are vanilla sponge cake with vanilla buttercream swirls. The red and navy together looked fabulous.

I purchased a scalloped craft punch to cut the toppers out with, and they were perfect. The little satin bow finished the toppers off nicely.

What will you be doing tonight when the ceremony is taking place? Will you be wearing a tiara and ballgown while watching? If only I knew where my tiara was......

Enjoy :)

  1. Love those cupcakes - just perfect. I too seem to have misplaced my tiara. I will be watching tonight like everyone else. Must pick up some bubbly! ;-)
