The cake was deep, dark chocolate cake filled with milk chocolate ganache and fondant covering.
The imprint on the basketball was done by using a piping tip. Here is a progress photo of the markings.
Emily held a small party to celebrate with her cousins, there were basketball cupcakes and basketball shaped cookies on a stick. The cupcakes were chocolate with chocolate buttercream and fondant tops. The cookies were vanilla sugar cookies with fondant icing.
